Details:

In the spirit of this day of love, KISS Racing Team invites you to a race by the seaside. Featuring some rollercoaster-like punchy climbs and sprints, this course is certain to invoke those love/hate relationship feelings, but will guarantee some type 2 fun! After riding laps by the seaside, you’re certain to have a salty KISS to share! No registration is needed & everyone is welcome!

Event:

Secret event, participants will need to use a provided link to sign up. Zwift Power will be used to tabulate all results. Categories will be culled and not visible to one another. Each category will start 1 minute apart.

Teams:

Riders are encouraged to use discord and team tactics to their advantage, but the overall points competition will be individual.

Points:

Finishing points will be awarded in descending order to the top 100 finishers (i.e., 1st place will receive 100 points, and 100th place will receive 1 point). All other finishers will receive 1 point and all racers are eligible for prime points (see primes details below). Finishing points will be awarded relative to the number of finishers in each category, up to 100. 

Primes:

Watopia Sprint Reverse Points will be awarded to the first 5 riders across the line on even laps (if race ends on an even lap, last lap does not count for prime points). First across the line will receive 10 points, 8 points for second place, 6 for third, 4 for fourth, and 2 points for fifth. Points will also be awarded to the top 5 fastest times from the entire race (from any lap over the entirety of the event). The same rider(s) can receive points for first across the line on prime laps and fastest overall.

Rules:

Powerups will be enabled.

No TT bikes.

Riders must choose their division (A, B, C, or D) based on their women’s- specific Zwift Power category*. Any rider who exceeds their chosen category limit (using 95% of 20 minute power) will be disqualified.

*Zpower (i.e., riding without a power meter or smart trainer using Zwift’s in-game power estimate) is not allowed in categories A-D. Any zpower riders in categories A-D will be disqualified. Zpower riders must join the E pen. If a zpower rider greatly exceeds realistic power thresholds for the event, they may be disqualified (at race organizers’ discretion).

Riders racing below their assigned Zwift Power category will be disqualified. Any rider may choose to ride up a category (i.e., a C cat rider may race in B, but a B cat rider may not race in C).

A heart rate monitor (HRM) is required for all divisions. Riders without heart rate data will be excluded from the results. In the event of a HRM malfunction or connection issue mid-race, riders may still receive points (at race organizers’ discretion).
